I'm so fucking pissed at the way the Minnesota Wild are playing. Seriously, what the fuck is wrong with this fucking team? Goalies seems to be shit every game, no one seems to try, EVER. There are maybe 3 or 4 players than always play at full effort every game. This shit is getting ridiculous. 2 wins in the last 13 games? Really, REALLY? This is just getting very frustrating. I don't understand how a team that started the season so well can continue to play so terribly for nearly 2 months at this point. Zach Parise or Jason Zucker really need to be given the captaincy of this team. Maybe that will do some damage control, because I've pretty much given up on the slim play off chances we had left. Maybe Edmonton will pass us in the standings. I just don't understand any more...

I only played hockey in 5th and 6th grade in Minneapolis. (Wore my mom's worn out nylon's to stay warm and was *very* glad I did. Yes, that was in the 60's.) Didn't do much with after that, usually playing summer sports but having a dad that wasn't into organized sports kinda moved the passion from emotional to physical.

One thing I've noted throughout my life is that hockey fans are more passionate about their teams (in the US...not talking soccer here) than in other sports. Gods, I remember a morning around a coffee making in CA in the 80's concerning the Flyers... holy shit but I'd thought I'd walked into the Inquisition of Organized Sports.

Even my dairy farming WI relatives for the Packers weren't as crazy as the hockey people I'd met, and they were totally crazy.

My take - you're totally right. That sucks. And ...assuming the alumni or funders want to see a successful team, they'll get a coach / staff that can deliver. I never blame the players. It's a management thing; if an employee fails, the manager is the failure, not the employee. They just got slotted into something they couldn't handle.
